“Gratitude for Magic” 12.4.19

I was decorating my house for Christmas last night and this morning, and saw glitter floating through the air. It reminded me of a cartoon where you hear chimes and see sparkles to represent ‘magic’.

We live in a world where magic exists as an everyday occurrence. If somehow a 16th century person were transported into our day, they would call the internet, electric lights, remote controls, airplanes, even radio…magic!

Miracles feel like magic because we don’t understand how it happens. Just like someone from 400 years ago can’t explain a light that turns on with the flip of a switch.

Thanks Tammy, for using Mary Poppins as an example of how magic is made up of imagination and playfulness. Imagination brings magic to life.

A magician uses illusions to boggle the mind. Their tricks seem to defy the laws of physics. It’s a pattern interrupt to the finite mind. A pattern interrupt forces us to question what we know. it’s good to do that every once in a while – question our beliefs to see if they are still serving us.

God orchestrates events in a way that produces coincidental meetings and opportunities for our good. It seems like magic because we don’t have His skill of commanding the elements. We do, however, have our imagination, and the ability, through imagination, to cross worlds—from the physical to the ethereal, where all creation happens.

Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

Through the magic of transformation, we have the choice to be anywhere, to become anyone.

Today, I Give Myself Permission to Cross Into the God-Realm of Creation

  • I use the magical powers of inspiration and imagination to orchestrate my life with God as my partner
  • I am god within
  • I am God’s servant, steward and student
  • I am an apprentice to God
  • I am real
  • I am fluid
  • I am changeable
  • I am solid
  • I am new
  • I am believing I can be anything
  • I am capable of anything
  • I embrace my imagination and my God-given right to choose
